Daily Schedule of the course
06.00 am: Neti (Nasal & Sinus Cleansing)
6.30 am: Breathless breath –Breathing practice ,Surya Namaskar- Reading–Meditation Reading,Chanting,Puja.
8.30: Svasa Kriya , Pranayamas, Yoga Asanas.
10.30:Brunch and free time
11.30:Karma Yoga /Self study
12.00:Chanting practice/ Patanjali Yoga Sutras etc.,
2.00Pm:Japa (with japa mala)
2.15Pm:Essence of Gita (2weeks),Yoga philosophy,psychology(Selected works of Swami Dayanandaji)
4.00Pm: – Svasa Kriya, Asana, Pranayamas.
6.00Pm: Japa ,Meditation
8.00Pm: Chanting, Talk, Q and A,/ Ayurveda /videos-Cultural (2 weeks)
This time table is subject to change as per weather conditions and availability of our teachers. Classes are held on 6 days a week and 7th day is for optional Trips to Cultural and spiritual places and any other recreational activity.
Trips on the free day: Kanyakumari,Suchindram temple,Thiruvattar temple etc., (subject to modification)
200 – Level YTTC Program
Techniques (total 130 hours with 90 contact hours) Training in the techniques and practice of: Asanas, pranayamas, kriyas, ekagrata, pratihara, dharana, samadhi, samyama, sama, exercises or yoga vyayamas, mantras chanting, and meditation
Teaching Methodology — 20 Hours
Includes principles of demonstration, observation, assisting/correcting, instruction, teaching styles, qualities of a teacher, the student’s process of learning, and business aspects of teaching yoga.
Anatomy and Physiology (total 10 hours with 5 contact hours) Physical Anatomy and Physiology and astral/energy/subtle Anatomy and Physiology
Discussion of one Upanishad.
Home work and Yoga Philosophy,Lifestyle and Ethics for Yoga Teachers -30 Hours
Includes the study of yoga sutras, Teachings of Bhagavad Gita, Historical evolution of yoga, the yoga lifestyle in a materialistic society, and ethics for yoga teachers.
Practicum — 20 Hours
Includes practice teaching, receiving feedback, observing others teaching and hearing/giving feedback. Also includes assisting teachers in daily practice class.
Assessment & Certification:
The students are continuously assessed throughout the course at all levels. There will be a practical test and a written exams every two week to evaluate the understanding and skills of the students and then a certificate will be given. Attendance to all classes are mandatory
We are recognized as RYS (Registered Yoga School) This allows you to use our certificate for Employment and taxation purpose. And with our certificate you can register as a teacher - for your career and job oppurtunities.
