The significance of Vedanta's Teachings for the Modern World History says that those persons who had a message for the world is remembered and followed even after their death. Several centuries later, still their messages are stronger. But why their message has not prevented their followers from killing and converting others. The cause :Emotional Attachment and Violence Those who created a new thought movement is loved, revered and even worshiped if the person formed a new religion. Their teachings are enlightening, no doubt. They were born in different parts of the world during different times. That might be the need of those times, who knows.Rulers of nations or politicians, Founders of religions or sects want to emphasis on their teachings. They want to spread their supposed to be the peace teachings to other parts of the world. They thought what they taught alone was right. This faith is the cause of division among people which the rational thinkers are unable to justify.
Killing and Conversions Followers respect their religious founders. The fanatics among them ignoring the peace expect others to follow them and force them too. Number of them convert others. Some of them spread terror leading to murder. Killing in the name of religion or conversion to another religion, both are violence so says Pujya Swami Dayanandaji."If I have a problem, you have no business to stand on my toes" Says Pujya Swami Dayanandaji. "Conversion is violence" adds Swamiji. Its violence to other cultures!.
The Teachers and their teachings Now, the big question is, in the name of religion, is it appropriate to create unrest and change the belief of others living in different parts of the world. It is not controversial. It is unacceptable. Its violence. It is justified in the name of their religious founders. These people fail to see the origin of their religion. What happened to their religion before it was founded. Reality can't be founded. It exists always. The fault is with the sectarian belief which is not a reality.
What is the only reality that leads to the world peace?- Watch for Part 2 of this article ! Soon !!
